Tucked among the treetops, this contemporary home serves as a serene retreat for a young professional seeking comfort, style, and functionality in equal measure. The goal was to craft a space that felt elevated yet relaxed—a place for both quiet evenings and easy entertaining. With sweeping views of nature and a striking modern fireplace anchoring the room, the design leans into clean lines, cozy textures, and a balance of bold and neutral elements.

I began by modeling the layout to showcase the room’s natural flow and architectural focal points, including the large fireplace and expansive windows. The creamy sectional offers generous seating and anchors the lounge area, paired with two mid century modern swivel chairs for added structure and contrast. A large, black oval drum coffee table introduces a grounding element, while a vibrant patterned rug adds a layer of playfulness and personality, reflecting the client's youthful energy. This space was designed to feel fresh and inviting, with a quiet confidence that mirrors the forested surroundings, sophisticated enough for guests, but ultimately a home that feels like a personal sanctuary.
